I bought these pads having had a bad fall off my bike onto my hips . I have had lots of hip surgery and was lucky to get away without serious injury. I have been happily surprised by how comfortable these pads are. Inserting and positioning them under my cycle shorts is a fiddle; but, so far, they have proved comfortable in action and in fact I am unaware of them whilst cycling. They are still in the same position at the end of a ride. Of course I don't know how effective they might be if I fall onto my hip and hope not to find out! I'm still debating whether to buy cycling shorts with pockets in them for the pads to make fitting them easier. All in all a good product I think.
