The rims of the C 1800 are 22mm wide internally, providing a CX friendly design. Ideal for riding with 33c Cyclocross race tyres and equally compatible with plump 28-35c slicks. These tyres are perfectly suitable for those mixed surface journeys offering plenty of traction and control.
DT Swiss has thoughtfully included a combination of Aero Comp and super robust New Aero spokes which are designed to efficiently transfer torque from even the most powerful cyclists. These wheels can withstand the demand from high-performance rides with continual momentum and speed.
The C 1800s are tubeless ready, coming equipped with tape and valves for those looking to minimise weight and improve performance. Despite this feature, they still have the flexibility to be used with standard clinchers for those who prefer the traditional set-up. The front wheels are prepared for 12 x 100mm, and the rears are designed to accommodate 12 x 142 axles. It's important to note that adapting the size will require changing the end caps - these are not included with the wheels.
To ensure safety and performance, we recommend a maximum system weight of 130KG. When purchased as a pair, tubeless rim tape and valves will be included. Considering its features and capabilities, the modest weight of the front (791 grams) and rear (937 grams) wheels is impressive.
