SHIMANO CRANK RECALL

Shimano have issued a voluntary recall on FC-6800, FC-R8000, FC-9000, FC-R9100 and FC-R9100P Chainsets. If you think you may have a chainset that is affected by this, then please feel free to give us a call on 01993842396 or send us an email with a photo of the back of your crank arm - the area behind the pedal threads with the model number has the production code which will identify if your crank is affected - and we can arrange to get you into your nearest store for a free inspection. Workshop

We operate a flexible booking service so you are not without your bike for longer than necessary. Spring and Summer can be particularly busy and we advise that you plan your routine servicing in advance & don’t wait until the day before your event or holiday! We are always on hand to help out with emergency repairs where possible.

• Our experienced team puts care and attention into the service needs of each individual bike.
• Wheel building is a special skill in our shop, ask for advice or a quote anytime.
• Custom builds are a specialty of ours, from consultation to build – we also offer frame and groupset upgrades to keep you getting the most out of your bike.
• Suspension tuning and interim services are carried out in store. For full servicing and warranty we use only authorised service agents.
• If you are not sure about the viability of repairing a neglected or older bike please bring it in store so we can give you an honest assessment, all our quotes are free.
• Turn-around for repairs varies largely dependent on season and demand, and usually same day for punctures.
• All brand new bikes purchased from us get a first free safety service to ensure they are bedded in and running just as they should. This is carried out normally just after the bike is 6 weeks old.
• We stock and can fit a whole range of accessories to either new bikes or ones you bring in for service; racks, mudguards, new bar tape, pedals, etc.

What do we charge?

Servicing starts at £55; this covers all your basic adjustments and a nut and bolt safety check. We offer a drivetrain degrease at an additional £35 which will keep your bike running super smooth. This involves a complete strip down of the drivetrain and a thorough clean and re-oil/grease.

For those looking for the works, we offer a Super Service which is £190. This is the ultimate service and includes a full strip down and clean, hub services, headset service, BB service and drivetrain clean. Make your bike feel and look brand new again!

I’ve got an eBike – can you help?

Simply put, yes!

Our service team are experienced with and trained on Bosch, Giant, Yamaha, Panasonic, Shimano and Mahle (Formally Ebikemotion), as well as service for Wisper bikes. Whatever the issue, we will be able to help. We have full diagnostics in all stores to help keep you on the move. Diagnostics and updates can be carried out at the same time as any other workshop repair, with prices starting at £35.

Even if the bikes not been purchased from us, we are able to carry out diagnostic and repair work to any of the big brands.

Speaking of the service team…

Mountain Mania Cycles workshops are staffed by highly experienced and qualified Cytech-trained mechanics. Our mechanics have many years of experience working on all types of bike between them. We offer full servicing and repair facilities, with knowledge and experience that just can’t be downloaded from the internet. We work quickly and fairly, making sure that you’re charged for what you need and nothing more – and you’ll also get good advice and tips on looking after your bike so that you benefit from the work we put into your individual bike to keep it that way.
