The same in all but name: the Assos LL.607 becomes the LL.haBu.5 for 2013

The Assos LL.haBu.5 uses two different Assos fabrics to create and snug, comfortable garment that fulfills the aspirations put forth in it's description perfectly. For the most part the tight uses Assos RX fabric, a fleecy, warm and lightweight fabric, designed to insulate the body whilst regulating moisture. On the sides of the legs and other areas where stretch is important Assos use RXQ fabric - a lighter, thinner version of RX, chosen for it's high elasticity, low bulk and beathability.

Assos have used their RXQ roubaix fabric as part of their AEPD (Advanced Ergonomic Pattern Design) project to offer the rider all the benefits of insulation and impermeability but at the same time, have created a tight that is still highly breathable. The RXQ has a channelled structure which increases it's thermo-regulatory properties, keeping the wearer warm and comfortable while allowing high levels of moisture wicking. Slow down or stop and the RXQ behaves like the hairs on your skin, trapping air next to the body to keep you warm. Increase the pace and the channels behave like small chimneys drawing moisture and hot air away from the skin. Ultimately this is the holy grail for a winter cycling garment - low weight for comfort and warm but with a high breathability in order to keep your temperature under control when the pace increases. The RXQ fabric is positioned on the main side panels over the muscles to keep the engine room warm and protected from injury while strategically situated panels of Assos' own stratagonUltra airblock fabric keep the abdominal area protected from chill winds which helps protect the bladder.

This version comes without the FI.Mille s5 insert allowing you to wear your Assos shorts underneath and not necessarily have to wash the tights with every use. We appreciate this addition to the range as it means all our Assos shorts are no longer redundant throughout the winter months.
